Mae Fah Luang Foundation

The Mae Fah Luang Foundation (MFLF) is a private, non-profit organization founded in 1972 by Princess Srinagarindra to enhance the quality of life for people in poverty. Operating under Royal Patronage, the foundation manages various projects in Thailand and other Asian countries, focusing on social and economic development, environmental preservation, and support for local art and culture. MFLF offers a range of services, including education and skills development, health services, and alternative development programs aimed at helping communities transition from illicit crop cultivation to sustainable farming. The foundation also promotes social entrepreneurship through its Doi Tung brand, which includes high-quality coffee, fashion and lifestyle products, and handicrafts made by ethnic minority groups. The Doi Tung Development Project, initiated in 1988, serves as the foundation's flagship initiative, emphasizing community empowerment and sustainable livelihoods.
