Asia Pacific Transgender Network (APTN)

Asia Pacific Transgender Network (APTN) is a trans-led organization founded in 2009 and based in Bangkok. It advocates for the rights of trans and gender diverse individuals across more than 15 countries in the Asia and Pacific region, including nations in South Asia, Southeast Asia, and the Pacific Islands. APTN's mission is to empower transgender people to organize and advocate for their health, legal rights, and overall well-being. The organization focuses on five strategic areas: movement building, advocacy, leadership development, public campaigning, and capacity-building support. APTN works to amplify the voices of the transgender community, promote awareness of their issues, and enhance the skills of trans leaders. It collaborates with various stakeholders, including academic institutions and healthcare providers, to improve services and support for trans individuals. APTN is dedicated to addressing the unique needs of trans and gender diverse communities, ensuring their rights and dignity are respected throughout the region.
