Heinrich Böll Foundation Southeast Asia

The Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung is a German political foundation linked to the Green Party. Established in 1997, it operates independently and is named after the Nobel Prize-winning writer Heinrich Böll. The foundation embodies Böll's values, focusing on civil courage, human dignity, tolerance, and the appreciation of art and culture. With 34 offices worldwide and projects in over 60 countries, the foundation emphasizes ecology, democracy, human rights, and gender equality. It functions as a green think tank, engaging in political education, advocacy, and promoting democratic reforms. The foundation also supports scholarship programs for students involved in socio-political issues and documents the history of the Green movement to inspire future political action. Through its GreenCampus initiative, it offers continuing education for those engaged in civic and political activities.
