Bangkok Expressway and Metro Public Company Limited (BEM) is a prominent public transportation company based in Bangkok, Thailand. Established in 2015 from the merger of Bangkok Expressway Public Company Limited and Bangkok Metro Public Company Limited, BEM specializes in the construction, management, and operation of expressways and metro systems. The company operates under concession agreements, managing expressways and rapid transit systems that facilitate approximately 390,000 daily passenger journeys. BEM's operations are divided into four main segments: Expressway Business, Rail Business, Commercial Development Business, and Others. It manages two metro lines, the MRT Blue Line and MRT Purple Line, with plans to include the MRT Orange Line in the future. Additionally, BEM offers retail space rental, advertising media, and telecommunication services at various locations, including underground train stations and expressways. With a market value exceeding THB 80,000 million, BEM is listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand and reported revenue of USD 422 billion in 2022.
