Mazda de México Vehicle Operation (MMVO) is a manufacturing facility located in Salamanca, Guanajuato, Mexico. Owned by Mazda Motor Corporation, it was established in 2014 and became fully owned by Mazda in March 2021. MMVO has become a key production base for Mazda, achieving a cumulative production of one million units by 2020. The facility has a production capacity of 250,000 vehicles and 250,000 engines annually, employing around 5,200 people. In 2023, MMVO produced over 202,000 vehicles, playing a crucial role in Mazda's North American operations, with a significant portion of sales volume in Mexico and North America coming from this facility. MMVO manufactures the Mazda 2, Mazda 3, and CX-30 models, as well as SKYACTIV-G gasoline engines in various sizes. Additionally, it produces Toyota vehicles, including the Scion iA, Yaris, and Yaris iA.
